The Housing Authority of the City of Hartford (HACH) in partnership with Pennrose, LLC, and The Cloud Company, LLC announced a housing lottery beginning today for one, two and three-bedroom apartments at the Village at Park River, a new mixed-income family rental community built on the site of the old Westbrook Village. Phase I occupancy is scheduled to begin in August 2020. A total of 75 apartments will become available in Phase I, 15 of which are not income-restricted and available at market rate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Of the 60 affordable units, 15 of them will be supportive services units. Qualified former Westbrook Village residents will be given preference in the lottery for the other 45 affordable housing units. The second phase of the project is already under construction and will include an additional 60 units, 75 percent of which will be set aside for households with incomes up to 60 percent of the AMI; 25% will be rented at market rate

Pre-application forms in English and Spanish are available online at VillageAtParkRiver.com and in a brochure box outside a temporary leasing trailer at 152 Mark Twain Drive, Hartford. Those wishing to have a pre-application emailed to them or sent by mail may request one by calling the leasing office at: 959-777-5394. All pre-application forms must be returned by U.S. Mail to: Village at Park River, P.O. Box 320602, Hartford, CT 06112. The pre-application period for the lottery will be open for 30 days. Pre-applications must be postmarked by June 28, 2020, in order to be entered in the lottery. Qualified applicants not selected for a Phase I unit will be added to a waitlist.
